Fun in the Mud

Okay, so it’s been about a month since my last posting and pretty much nothing has changed.  I’ve seen an increase in my energy on good days but pretty much I’m desperate to get my lymphatic system to drain. One of the ways I am doing this is taking mud baths every few days.  You are probably wondering where I go and how the heck it works so I thought I’d share some pictures inspired by the mom blogger who writes Crappy Pictures (she is hilarious with her crappy drawing to illustrate her stories).

Basically you cut open the grey tube and put it into hot water in the bath tub.  When I get in I am usually playing with remaining clumps of mud and getting them to dissolve in the water (I always think they look like little turds…lol).  This mud is Czech organic mud also known as Moor mud or Peats bath, anyway it looks disgusting, but so much of this treatment has a gross out factor so in the mud I go.  It doesn’t stain the bathtub and it is fine for the drain, so I don’t have any issues with it.

Doing a routine mud bath is something my doctor told me he wanted me to do. I figured it couldn’t hurt anything so I ordered the tubes of mud from Torfspa.com . Each tube is 250ml and about $9.  You are supposed to do one every other day or however frequently your body can handle. It seems to dehydrate me a lot so I do IV hydration before and drink gatorade for the time I’m in there.

I sit there for twenty minutes and then I rinse off and head to bed.  By this time I am shaky and exhausted!  This is a MAJOR detox so hopefully it’s helping me with my treatment! I have to admit this is one of the most bizarre things I’ve done since my diagnosis!
